What's the difference between Claude Projects and Skills?

A Project holds the files and instructions for one body of work, like a client or a brand, so you stop re-uploading them. A skill teaches Claude your method for a job, like your weekly report format, and Claude uses it in any chat when the task matches, including chats inside a Project. Many workflows use both: the Project knows the client, the skill knows how you write the report.

Can I share Claude Skills with my team?

Should I use Claude Chat, Cowork or Claude Code?

Use Chat for a quick answer or draft. Hand Claude Cowork a whole job that ends in a doc, deck or spreadsheet, like a weekly report from several sources, and it keeps working after you close your laptop. Claude Code is for scripts and automations across many files; Anthropic describes it as a coding tool.

What's the difference between Claude Artifacts and Claude Docs?

An Artifact is a page people click and use, like a budget tracker, a dashboard or a request form, and you share it by link. Claude Docs is a document your team edits and comments on together, and you can ask @Claude for a change in a comment. For a deck, use Claude Slides.

Should I use a Claude connector or Claude in Chrome?

Use a connector when the app has one, like Gmail, Google Drive or HubSpot. Use Claude in Chrome for sites you're logged into that have no connector, like an ad platform's dashboard. It pauses before purchases and steps that can't be undone, and it's on paid plans.

What can I do with Claude for free?

More than most people expect. Free includes chat, up to 5 Projects, Skills, file creation, Claude Docs, Claude Slides, Claude Design, Artifacts and connectors. Research, Cowork, Scheduled tasks, Claude Code and Claude in Chrome need a paid plan.
