Grok feature FAQ
What's the difference between Grok Bot and Automations?
An Automation runs a prompt on a schedule, or when a matching email arrives, and sends you the result, like a Monday competitor news check. Grok Bot has its own cloud computer and browser, so it can sign into your tools and click through the steps, like pulling last week's numbers from your ad platforms. Use an Automation when Grok only needs to search, read and summarize.
What's the difference between Grok Bot and Team Bots?
Grok Bot is your own, for jobs you hand it. A Team Bot is one Bot the whole team talks to, with shared files, skills and team memory, while each person's chat with it stays private. Team Bots are in public beta on Teams and Enterprise plans.
Which plans include Grok Bot, and does it use my Grok usage?
Grok Bot comes with Premium, Super and Ultra on The X Subscription, for you or as team seats, but not Free or Plus. It draws from the same weekly pool as the rest of Grok and Cursor. Older plans still include it too: SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus and Heavy, X Premium+, a Grok Business seat and paid Cursor plans.
What's the difference between Grok Business and a personal Grok plan?
On personal plans, your chats and uploads may be used to train Grok unless you turn off "Improve the Model". SpaceXAI says Grok Business data is never used for training, and Business lets you share Projects and skills with licensed teammates and connect OneDrive, SharePoint and Salesforce. Keep company files on a Business seat.
Which Grok plan do I need?
Since October 12, 2026, Grok's plans are The X Subscription: Free, Plus, Premium, Super and Ultra. Plus gives you more Grok use and a checkmark on X. Premium includes the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+, including Grok Bot, and Super and Ultra add more usage. Older SuperGrok and X Premium plans keep working, but new customers can only buy the new ones.
Should I use Grok skills or Build mode?
Use skills when you need a doc, deck, spreadsheet or PDF, in the same format each time. Use Build mode when you need an app or page people click and use, like a campaign calculator, and want to publish it to a link.
