CC for Families and Households
Google Labs turned CC, its Gemini-powered personal assistant, into an agent that up to six people share.
Details
- Up to six people contribute to the same CC, which reads shared email and puts dates and to-dos on a shared calendar automatically
- It completes tasks rather than just tracking them: pre-filling permission slips and activity registration PDFs, building school supply shopping lists, planning weekly meals, and calculating drive times between activities
- Connects to Gmail, Google Chat, Docs, Calendar, Drive, and the Google Maps API, and creates shared Docs and Sheets
- Keeps a household memory of things like favorite restaurants and standing grocery items, and sends a Your Day Ahead brief each morning
- Still a Google Labs experiment. Web and mobile, U.S. only, 18+, personal Google accounts. People who signed up before September 17 get upgrade invitations in waves; everyone else joins a waitlist
Best for
Coordinating a household: shared calendars, recurring forms, meal planning, and who needs to be where.
When to use it
The logistics live across several people's inboxes and nobody has the full picture.
Who benefits
U.S. adults with personal Google accounts who run scheduling for more than themselves.
