Claude Code sessions that run on Anthropic's servers instead of your computer are out of research preview, for Pro, Max, Team, and eligible Enterprise users.

Details

A cloud session is Claude Code running in an isolated virtual machine Anthropic manages, so it keeps working when your computer is off and you can check on it or steer it from any device
Start one from claude.ai/code, the Code tab in the Claude mobile app, the desktop app (pick Cloud instead of Local), or claude --cloud in the terminal
Existing subscribers get a one-time credit to try it: $100 on Pro, $250 on Max
Available on Pro, Max, and Team plans, and for Enterprise users with premium seats or Chat + Claude Code seats
Needs a GitHub connection to clone repositories and open pull requests, and sessions share rate limits with the rest of your Claude usage

Best for

Long coding or automation tasks you want to keep running after you close your laptop.

When to use it

A task will take longer than you want to sit and watch, or you want to kick it off from your phone.

Who benefits
