Claude in Microsoft Foundry (Generally Available)

Claude models are now production-ready on Microsoft Foundry, so companies can run them through their existing Azure accounts. For developers and teams already building on Azure.

Details

Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Haiku 4.5 are available through the Messages API, with prompt caching and extended thinking
Two hosting options: hosted on Azure (Azure authentication, billing, governance, and a US data zone) or hosted on Anthropic (the full API feature set, formerly called Foundry Preview)
Usage bills through a single Azure invoice, and customers with Microsoft Enterprise Agreements can draw Claude usage against their Azure commitments
Available now to any organization with an Azure account
