Copilot Chat now opens in a right-hand side pane while you use Copilot Search, so you do not leave the results to ask a question.

Chat opens in the right-hand pane of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app during a Copilot Search session, where before you had to switch pages and lose your place
Triggered by engaging with search results or by asking a question in the search box
