It can act as a personal assistant, as a coworker agent for a team (such as a project manager), or in a specific role (such as a finance analyst); coworker agents get their own identity, email address, and storage
Invoked by mentioning @Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Chat, with access also from the command line, Slack, and Microsoft 365, plus an API for running it inside other apps
Picks the model for each job from the Gemini and Claude families, with other models planned
Keeps memory across sessions, including skills it writes for itself
Private preview now for a select group; Google says wider availability for Workspace customers on select Business and Enterprise plans is coming soon, with no date or price given
