Gemini Notebook Upgraded Experience (All Users)

The rebuilt Gemini Notebook is now switched on for everyone, and your notebooks can be pulled up inside AI Mode in Google Search.

Details

The upgraded Notebook experience, which reached Google AI Pro users on August 4, is now available to all users
Notebooks are reachable from AI Mode in Google Search, so a notebook can answer inside a search session
Mobile access to the upgraded experience has not shipped yet
Chat also got two fixes: mathematical equations now copy and render correctly, and numbers no longer display backwards in right-to-left languages

Best for

research you keep returning to, where the sources stay in one place

When to use it

you were waiting on the upgraded Notebook because you are not on a paid Google AI plan

Who benefits

anyone doing source-grounded research who also starts in Google Search
