Details

  • Two levels: Standard, the default and best for most questions, and Extended, which gives more time and step-by-step reasoning for complex topics.
  • Available on Gemini 3.5 Flash and 3.5 Flash-Lite; Gemini 3.1 Pro adds a third Deep Think level limited to AI Ultra subscribers.
  • The control is now free for all users, after first rolling out around Google I/O 2026.
