- Flare is the default of the two and produces higher-quality images than GPT-Image-2 at half the latency, aimed at social content and high-volume generation
- Sunburst takes longer per image and holds control tighter across successive edits, aimed at campaign creative and polished product shots
- Both are priced at $8.00 per 1M image input tokens and $30.00 per 1M image output tokens, twice the GPT-Image-2 rate
- Both carry the same style-adherence and editing improvements that shipped in ChatGPT Images 2.5
