OpenAI's live voice model is now on ChatGPT's school and work plans worldwide, not only the consumer plans.

It replaced Advanced Voice Mode as the default voice experience in ChatGPT when it launched on July 8, 2026.
GPT-Live-1 runs on paid tiers and GPT-Live-1 mini runs on free, with GPT-5.5 handling background work like reasoning and web search.
This rollout adds Edu, Business, and Enterprise plans globally, on top of the Free, Go, Plus, and Pro coverage across iOS, Android, and web.
