Model Selection for the Researcher Agent

When you add the Researcher agent to a Copilot Chat prompt, you can now pick which Researcher model and mode it uses.

Details

  • Researcher previously ran on a fixed model with no user control over which one handled a given request
  • The model and mode are chosen from a selector after adding the Researcher agent to a prompt, and apply for the rest of that conversation
  • Available on Windows and Web

Matching research depth to the task instead of taking whatever model you are given.

When to use it

A research answer came back shallower or slower than the task needed.
