Faster Streaming on Claude Web and Desktop

Long Claude answers now appear more smoothly as they are written, in the browser and the desktop app. Nothing to switch on.

  • Best for: long Claude replies that used to stutter or freeze while they were still being written
  • When to use it: you read answers as they arrive rather than waiting for them to finish, especially on an older machine
  • Who benefits: anyone using Claude in a browser or the desktop app, with the biggest difference on slower laptops

Enterprise-Managed Auth for MCP Connectors (Generally Available)

Admins on Claude Team and Enterprise can switch on connected tools for the whole organization through their identity provider, so nobody has to authorize each tool themselves.

  • Best for: rolling connected tools like Slack, Notion, or Linear out across a whole team without chasing individual sign-ins
  • When to use it: your organization already runs Okta and you want tool access to follow the groups and roles set up there
  • Who benefits: IT and workspace admins on Claude Team and Enterprise, plus the people on those teams who stop hitting authorization prompts

Start a Claude Code Session from Your Phone

Any computer running Claude Code's remote control now shows up in the mobile app, so you can start work on that machine without sitting at it.

Anthropic
  • Best for: kicking off a long task on your work machine while you are away from it
  • When to use it: an idea lands when you are not at your desk and you want the work running before you get back
  • Who benefits: people who already run Claude Code and check in from a phone

Claude Mythos 5 in Claude Security (Public Beta)

Enterprise customers can point Claude at a GitHub repository and get back a list of security flaws with suggested fixes, using Anthropic's security-specialized model.

  • Best for: security reviews of a codebase you own, where you want flaws found and patched rather than only flagged
  • When to use it: you are on Claude Enterprise and a repository has never had a proper security pass
  • Who benefits: security engineers and engineering leads at companies on Claude Enterprise

Claude Code Concise Output Style

A setting that makes Claude Code lead with the answer and keep responses short, for Claude Code users.

Anthropic
  • Best for: Cutting the explanation Claude Code wraps around a result when you already know what you asked for.
  • When to use it: You read the terminal all day and the preamble costs more time than it saves.
  • Who benefits: Anyone running Claude Code often enough that response length becomes friction.

Computer Use, Browser Tool, Skills API, and Files API (Generally Available)

Four building blocks for agents on the Claude Platform move out of beta, for developers building on the API.

  • Best for: Building an agent that has to operate software with no API behind it, like an internal tool or a vendor portal.
  • When to use it: A workflow only exists as clicks in someone's browser and you want Claude to run it end to end.
  • Who benefits: Developers and technical teams automating work that lives in applications nobody can integrate with.

Claude Managed Agents Update (Sandbox Memory and Domain Controls)

Two changes to Claude Managed Agents: memory in self-hosted sandboxes, and limits on what an agent is allowed to search and read.

  • Best for: Running a managed agent on your own infrastructure without losing what it learned between runs.
  • When to use it: An agent needs to carry context forward, or it should only reach sources you approve.
  • Who benefits: Teams running Claude Managed Agents under compliance or data-boundary requirements.

Claude Desktop Faster Startup

Claude Desktop launches about twice as fast as it did a month ago. Small update, most noticeable if you keep it running in the background.

Anthropic
  • Best for: Getting to a prompt without waiting on the app to wake up.
  • When to use it: You keep Claude Desktop open in the background and hit a delay every time you bring it forward.
  • Who benefits: Claude Desktop users on any plan, with no setting to change.

Claude Code Weekly Limits Extended Through August 31

The 50% higher weekly cap on Claude Code stays in place until August 31 for paid plans.

Anthropic
  • Best for: Long Claude Code weeks that used to hit the cap before the project was done
  • When to use it: You are scoping work that runs into late August and need to know the ceiling
  • Who benefits: Paid Claude plan holders running Claude Code most days

Claude Cowork on Mobile and Web (All Paid Plans)

Cowork, the workspace where you hand Claude a task to work through on its own, now runs on phone and web for every paid plan. It was limited to Max users.

  • Best for: Starting a task at your desk and checking on it from your phone
  • When to use it: You pay for Claude on a plan below Max and Cowork was out of reach
  • Who benefits: Pro and Team subscribers who wanted Cowork without moving up to Max
