Claude's memory now works as separate, categorized notes it reads and updates as you chat, replacing the single daily memory summary.

Memory is stored as individual entries sorted into categories, rather than one daily summary of your activity
Claude reads and updates these entries during a conversation, so changes take effect right away instead of waiting for the next daily summary
This replaces the previous approach, where memory was captured as a single daily summary
