Local Threads in Claude Code Projects

Claude Code Projects can now run their threads on your own machine, not only in the cloud, and beta access is widening to more Pro and Max users.

Projects is one ongoing conversation where Claude splits your work into parallel threads and coordinates them; at the beta launch every thread ran as a cloud session
Local support lets threads run alongside your local tools and code and behind your network, which Anthropic had listed as coming soon at launch
Still in beta: Anthropic is working through the waitlist and giving access to more Pro and Max users, and people who used the older Claude projects are still being migrated
Not yet on Team or Enterprise plans; the waitlist is at claude.com/form/projects
