- Files Gemini generates now open in a preview where you can tweak the content by hand
- You can highlight a section and ask Gemini to change just that text or visual, then keep asking follow-ups
- PDF preview and editing works on web and mobile; Google Docs, Google Sheets, Markdown, TXT, slide decks, and code files are also supported
- Available to all users in every language where Gemini is available
- Builds on file generation, which came to the Gemini app in April 2026
