Projects in Claude Code

A rebuilt version of Projects where you describe a goal in one conversation and Claude splits it across parallel working threads, in beta for some Claude Pro and Max subscribers.

Details

You describe what needs doing in one conversation, and Claude scopes the work, opens threads for the parallel pieces, reviews what comes back, and coordinates the merges
Each thread runs as a full Claude Code cloud session on its own branch, so the threads work independently instead of sharing one context
An Overview panel shows which threads are waiting on you, and you can redirect any thread from your phone
Replaces the old folder-based Projects structure on web and desktop, where a project was a container for files and chats rather than a running piece of work
In beta for select Claude Pro and Max subscribers who use cloud sessions and have no existing projects, widening to more Pro and Max users over the following week, with Team and Enterprise later
