Server-Side Auto Mode Classifier in Claude Code

Auto mode's permission classifier now runs on Anthropic's servers for API and Enterprise users, so it no longer shows up on your bill.

Applies to Claude API and Enterprise users and to Bedrock, Vertex, Foundry, and gateway setups, which now default to the server-side classifier
Set CLAUDE_CODE_AUTO_MODE_SERVER=0 to opt out on Bedrock, Vertex, Foundry, and gateways. Claude Code warns when it falls back to the billed path
A new Auto mode server row in /status shows which way the current session is running
