If I could give you one piece of advice to stand out with AI, it would be this:
Use more of the features built into your AI tool.
Yep, that’s it. It almost sounds too obvious.
We’ve had AI for a while now, so catching up can feel like a big hill to climb.
But it still doesn’t take much to pull ahead.
Most people overcomplicate it. They think they need:
- A more advanced tool (or the one everyone’s talking about lately)
- To be more technical
- To know everything
- Permission to experiment
- For someone else to figure it out first
Meanwhile, they’re using a fraction of the tool they already have.
You could talk to AI all day and still not be good at it.
People who are good at it have taken it on themselves to set up little systems they reuse.
Like a daily email that flags abnormal site performance, instead of checking a dashboard when they have time.
Behind it are instructions, context, and tool connections they designed.
That way, AI can do the task their way, over and over, without needing to steer it each time.
It sounds bigger than it is, but it can be surprisingly simple to set up for everyday tasks.
Especially when you use the features in your AI tool that are made for this.
In Claude you could set up a scheduled task that pulls from your analytics connector to send that email.
The tough part is knowing what’s there and what to reach for.
So I built a free tool to help with that.
The AI Feature Finder shows you which features in your AI tool can help with your tasks.
It includes features available in ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Grok.
Here’s how to use it:
